There’s a lot of software that will do that conversion for you. The full version of Adobe Acrobat for one. There’s probably some freeware too if you do a search. Be wary of freeware in general since it’s prone to containing malware.
Worst case scenario though if you need to do it quick and dirty without installing new software, then do the following:
1) Open the pdf file using Adobe Reader.
2) Maximize the size of the image that you’re interested in so it fills up your screen by using the zoom in and out feature in Adobe Reader.
3) Press both the Ctrl + Print Scr buttons at the same time (I usually press and hold Ctrl first). This will copy an image of the open Adobe Reader window to the clipboard (or whatever window happened to be active because you clicked in it last).
4) Next open Windows Paint (In WinXP: Start | All Programs | Accessories | Paint).
5) Now use either Ctrl + V or Edit | Paste from the menu at the top of Windows Paint and you’ll have pasted the entire image of the Adobe Reader window in.
6) Use the dashed star-like button on the left and the dashed rectangle button beside it to whittle things down to just what you need.
7) Then save the file in jpg format (File | Save As |
